About Me

Builder. Researcher. Teacher. Founder.

I build database-driven software and sell it. I have taken products from an idea to a paying customer's machine, including packaging, licensing, and support.

My clients have included churches, schools, and HR teams. I have also built academic and community platforms, and I still take on independent database projects for small businesses.

My PhD work in statistics informs how I design systems. I think about data integrity, edge cases, and what happens at scale, not just what the interface looks like.

What I Bring

Product Ownership

I take a project from a rough idea to a working product, and I stay on through deployment and support.

Full-Stack Systems

I build both the interface and the backend behind it, including logins, permissions, and backups.

Teaching & Communication

I teach at the university, run product demos for clients, and record tutorials for my YouTube channel.

Software products with real-world workflows

A few systems I have built and shipped to real users.

SaaS System

Arkos ChurchPro

A church management system built for the way churches actually operate. It tracks members and attendance, then turns that data into certificates and reports staff can use.

  • ✓ Members can be checked in by QR code or by hand, and attendance history builds automatically
  • ✓ Staff and admin roles are separated, so each person only sees what their job needs
  • ✓ Each church gets its own deployment, with its own backups and settings

Product System

Arkos HR Pro

A payroll and HR system built for small businesses that still run payroll by hand. It handles employee records, runs payroll, and generates payslips staff can preview, print, or download.

  • ✓ Runs payroll in bulk and generates payslips for the whole staff at once
  • ✓ Works offline on a local machine or online, depending on what the business needs
  • ✓ Ships as a packaged product, with a demo, documentation, and support included
PayrollHRReportsBackups
School Operations

Arkos SchoolPro

A school management system built for admissions offices and bursars. It handles student records, fees, and billing in one place.

  • ✓ Keeps student records, fees, and receipts in one system instead of scattered spreadsheets
  • ✓ Designed to reduce manual work and protect school administrative records
  • ✓ Built with school administrators, so the day to day workflow matches how they actually work

Live Platform

Acadelyn.com

A discovery platform that helps students find faculty, conferences, and opportunities they would otherwise miss.

  • ✓ Launched with UNR Math and Stat faculty data and College of Science conference listings
  • ✓ Users can log in to save items and get recommendations, with a working search
  • ✓ Promoted through SIAM and community channels, and improved based on real user feedback
EdTechSearchRecommendations
SaaS SystemProduct Ready

Arkos AttendPro

A workforce attendance system for schools, churches, and companies with staff spread across more than one site. Employees can check in by badge, by QR code, or through their own portal, and HR gets a full record of who checked in, where, and when.

  • ✓ QR codes refresh every 10 to 120 seconds, so a screenshot of one cannot be reused later
  • ✓ Self-service check-ins are checked against a set location radius before they are accepted
  • ✓ New employees get an ID and a portal login automatically, with temporary credentials sent by email or text

Media Delivery

GradPhotos26 Gallery Platform

A photo gallery I built for a community graduation event, so families could find and download their photos easily on any device.

  • ✓ Photos are converted, cleaned of metadata, and organized so they are easy to find
  • ✓ Works well on a phone, since that is how most families viewed it
  • ✓ Built with privacy in mind, since these are photos of real graduates

Building across software, data, and teaching

A timeline of building products, teaching, and doing research.

Founder & Product Builder

Arkos DataTeks / DataTechsTutorials

2019 - Present

I build and sell database-driven products for churches, schools, and small businesses, and I support every one of them after launch.

  • ✓ I handle everything from scoping the product to pricing and supporting it after launch
  • ✓ Sell directly through Payhip and my own websites, and talk to customers myself

Database Developer & Systems Consultant

Independent Client Projects

2019 - Present

Designed Microsoft Access and SQL systems for schools, small businesses, and HR and inventory teams.

  • ✓ Handled everything from requirements and database design to training the client’s staff
  • ✓ Client work connected to Ghana, Kuwait, Mauritius, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, and Guinea

Graduate Teaching Assistant / Instructor

University of Nevada, Reno

2024 - Present

Teach and support mathematics and statistics courses, and write the quizzes, worksheets, and activities students use.

  • ✓ Spend most of the job explaining technical material clearly and mentoring students
Research & Computing

PhD-level quantitative depth for data-driven systems

My research background shows up in how I build software. I think in terms of statistical computing, simulations, and reproducible workflows.

Attendance Protocol Security Research

Submitted to JISA

A full paper submitted to the Journal of Information Security and Applications (Elsevier), built on the security protocol behind Arkos AttendPro: “Design, Implementation, and Controlled Evaluation of a Session-Bound Attendance Protocol with Rotating QR Codes and Uncertainty-Aware Geofencing.” It formalizes how the system binds identity, rotating tokens, and location uncertainty under server-side authority, then evaluates it against token forwarding, false acceptance and rejection rates, and database integrity under load.

JSM 2026 Presenter

Upcoming presentation in “Inference Under Dependence: Time Series, Panels, and Networks,” involving ARMA/QMLE under weak dependence, robust standard errors, sandwich covariance, asymptotic normality, and Monte Carlo simulation.

Malaria Modeling & Public Health Analytics

MSc thesis: Retrospective Impact Quantification of Malaria Interventions in Ghana. Work involved intervention analysis, district-level modeling, OpenMalaria simulations, and public-health decision-support summaries.
